I came to you the hour I was in pain
Looking for answers, I cried to you in vain.
I shared the many skeletons hiding in my heart,
I knew then you’d be my friend,
I knew it from the start.

Troubles ran like rivers, flowing through my life,
You picked the pieces up and help me through my strife.
When home wasn’t home to me no more,
You opened up your heart, and opened up the door.

We cried into night until the early morn.
We solaced each other’s pain and shared our many thorns.
As time flew, the air grew thick,
I saw our friendship fading, and my heart grew sick.
The day had arrived,
When it was time to say goodbye.

Now I sit alone,
reminiscing the past I’d blown.

Friendship Poems Comments Off

Friendship . . .

. . . is you.

. . . is love.

. . . is shared.

. . . is forgiving.

. . . is understanding.

. . . is shared secrets.

. . . heals many hurts.

. . . is not judgmental.

. . . is shared laughter.

. . . is slow and steady.

. . . can be angry at times.

. . . is dependable and true.

. . . is more precious than silver or gold.

. . . is meant to be savored like fine wine.

. . . is not perfect, much like we are not perfect.

. . . does not hold grudges or demand perfection.

. . . makes all the wrong things in life, right somehow.

. . . is meant to be gulped like lemonade on a hot summer day.

. . . is always there, through times of trial, happy times and hard times.

. . . just happens, but once discovered, needs to be tended like a beautiful garden.

. . . is a road to be traveled slowly, remembering the sights and sounds.

. . . is strength when you are too weak to notice its there.

. . . is a cherished moment of mutual understanding.

. . . reaches into your heart and grabs a firm hold.

. . . is a refreshing rain on a hot day.

. . . is sunshine through the clouds.

. . . cannot be forced or induced.

. . . is relaxed and comfortable.

. . . is a shoulder to lean on.

. . . is an ear to whine to.

. . . gets better with age.

. . . is shared tears.

. . . is shared pain.

. . . is shared joy.

. . . is shared.

. . . is love.

. . . is you.

Best friends we are ,

Best friends we’ll be,

For always forever,

You and Me!

Longer than a phone call,

Deeper than the sea,

All this belongs to us,

You and Me!

Put it in a bottle,

Never let it free,

keep it in your heart,

You and Me!

I hope you read this poem,

Remember it for me,

Look after it with care,

You and Me!

In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day one fellow met the great philosopher and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?”. “Hold on a minute,” Socrates replied. “Before telling me anything I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.”. “Triple filter?”. “That’s right,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?” “No,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…”. “All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” . “No, on the contrary…”. “So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?” “No, not really.” “Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”

Lesson:
Well we can always participate in loose talks to curb our boredom. But when it comes to you friends its not worth it. Always avoid talking behind the back about your near and dear friends.

If I reach across this gulf widening between us and meet resistance;
If I smile, searching for a road to understanding and touch resentment;
If love offered to assuage hurts looming o’er us senses rejection;

Then this self-denying is as an impenetrable wall barring peace, joy,
self-actualization;

That bridge, fittingly called,
Life Fulfillment…
For us, an untravelled road!

She was free spirted yet
a special and beautiful lady,
With God’s plan she helped
this man grow
Surrounded by all that is
good and glorious……

E’er so special with a true
meaning now it is time to say –
I have a Friend who cares
So much beauty living brings
Fields where small children run
Where foam on ocean waves go by
She’s across the miles and comforts
my fears.

Never fails…..I can count on her
To take the hurt, from my breast
For the beauty in-the bright blue sky
The sweeping arc of her aura goes on endlessly.
I need to have an open heart
To let me magnify the splendors
Of a Friends path of life….
And yes put this Song In My Heart
THANKS FRIEND

A true friend is someone you can be yourself around, and never have to try and put on an act, they are someone you share your deepest secrets with, laugh together at lifes treasured moments. Sometimes we laugh together for absolutely no reason at all.

This person knows everything about you and still loves you just the same!
You know you are truly blessed to find a friend this special at least once in your lifetime. Treasure all that you’ve been blessed with, a rare kind of friendship comes once in a lifetime.

I thank the Lord daily for the rare gift of your friendship and the blessing bestowed to share such a gift.
My only hope is to someday be the kind of friend you’ve always been to me! A true forever kind of friend!!
GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND!

If I could buy you the world, I would.
If I could change the the moon to a heart for you, I would.
If I could sing you the sweetest of all serenades, I would.
If I could bring you eternal happiness, I would.
If I could show my love for you in any way, I would.

But what I can do…
Say I am sorry.
Tell you that I love you.
Offer you a pleasant tomorrow.
Put a smile on your face.
And hope that in some way you forgive me and take away my pains.
… is be your friend.

The greatest sweetener of human life is Friendship. To raise this to the highest pitch of enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover.

Everyone hears what you say. Friends listen to what you say. Best friends listen to what you don’t say.

A friend drops their plans when you’re in trouble, shares joy in your accomplishments, feels sad when you’re in pain. A friend encourages your dreams and offers advice–but when you don’t follow it, they still respect and love you.

The heart may think it knows better: the senses know that absence blots people out. We really have no absent friends. The friend becomes a traitor by breaking, however unwillingly or sadly, out of our own zone: a hard judgment is passed on him, for all the pleas of the heart.

Have a friend who tells a tale With statements parenthetical; To start at the beginning must To her seem quite heretical; For her accounts of happenings Are full of disconnection s; She starts them in the middle, And proceeds in all directions.

I’m always there to tell people that their life is not that bad. I wish it was easy to follow that advice It is important to our friends to believe that we are unreservedly frank with them, and important to friendship that we are not.

A true pal is the one who walks in, when all others walk out.

Water may dry. The various flowers may die. But genuine friends will never say bye bye!

A true friend will surely find a reason to love you even when you have done something that you cannot mend.

Overlook the times that he walked by.

Overlook the times he made you want to cry.

Overlook the times he uttered your name.

What you must remember now is that you’re not the same!

Overlook that fact that he held your hand.

Overlook the sweet things if you can.

Overlook the good times and do not pretend.

All you must remember now is that he’s still your friend.

Think of that person like whom you have not met any other. With whom, you can yap for hours and still not get bored. Tell him / her things and still know you won’t be judged. That person is your best friend, so never let he / she go.

One true friend is worth a 1000 relatives.

Love, self-confidence and friend are the three things I treasure the most. And in you, I find all three.

There is a miracle called Friendship
that dwells within the heart
and you don’t know how it happens
or when it even starts.

But the happiness it brings you
always gives a special lift
and you realize that Friendship
is God’s most precious gift.
