Our friendship is an ocean, stretching

I remember when I woke, Not knowing what to do!

The very first thing that came to my mind, was not myself but you!
You laid there just looking at me, as if it was your final glance!
I grabbed your hand, looked to the sky, and said, Please One More Chance.
I remember the day of the funeral, All of our family and friends!

I remember when the preacher said, When one life ends, a new begins!
Before they put you in this ground, I walked over to see you one last time!
I kissed your lips and held your hand, and One More Chance went through my mind!
I asked God Why not me, Why you, and what I did so wrong?

He said everything has purpose, And that life must be lived on!
So I live it on this very moment, Always remembering the day!
That God sent me My Angel, And then took her away!

So many memories you left to trace,

And for every memory we see your face.

For the path you took was not up to you,

And for this endless life you did not choose.

You’ll keep the heavens entertained like you did here,

In your heart as to ours you’ll keep us close and near.

No more pain no more suffer will you go through,

And remember my dear friend Courtney we will always love you.

I searched among the card displays,
to see if I could find,
A little something that would say
just what was on my mind.

However there was not a one,
that captured it just right,
For no one else can understand
just what I’d like to write.

I even find it difficult
to try to write it down,
For how do I portray to you,
this friend that I have found?
I close my eyes and what I see,
is someone I adore,
A person who is beautiful,
and even so much more.

Mere words cannot describe
the many qualities you show,
The love and caring nature that
you share with those you know.

Your kind and gentle temperament,
your sweet angelic smile,
Your softly spoken sentiments,
that will reach across the miles.

Your smile and laugh that sparkle with
the softness of your sighs,
The way your face lights up a room …
that twinkle in your eyes.

The loving gestures through the weeks,
that quickly come to mind,
For always you’ve a gentle word
to calm and soothe I find.

I struggle and I search to try
to find some words anew …
And yet I cannot capture
all the things that make you… you.

I will therefore, be satisfied
that you must simply know,
Just how I feel about you,
for with words I cannot show.

For Sherri…. She is a new friend in my life and I think that she is so awesome… Words could NEVER describe her! You just have to meet her!
