Friendship

I met you at the bus stop,
you were so small
and meek.
You came into my life when I was
just a little child; now I feel grown.
As soon as I met you I knew we were to be friends,
always and forever till the end.
When I met you my life flashed before me,
like the clouds had just spread to open up the heavens.
Right there you were in front of me like an angel
god sent down to me. I am so happy we met, I knew
I had one friend, one very special friend that
no one could take away ’cause I knew we were meant to be.
Meeting you was so great,
I know together we are one,
together taking in challenges as they come.
I know together we can fight anything, accomplish anything,
and do everything we always dreamed,
because you have me and I have you and
that’s all we need to be great.
